Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Accurate Data Annotator ("ADA", "we", "us") is a bilingual Arabic-English data annotation company based in Cairo, Egypt. This policy explains what personal data we collect through accuratedataannotator.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It is written to meet the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), and Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
1. Who is responsible for your data
ADA is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at info@accuratedataannotator.com for any privacy question or request.
2. What we collect
- Registration and application details that you submit through our registration form (hosted with Google Forms), such as your name, email address, country and the information the form asks for.
- Assessment and training activity: your answers, scores and progress in the English test, LLM assessments and Live Training. Most of this progress is stored in your own browser (local storage) and is not visible to us unless the platform sends a notification to us when you start or finish a step.
- Certificate details: the name you enter to generate your certificate and the verification information needed to confirm it.
- Payment information, if a paid step is offered: payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your card or bank details. We may receive a payment confirmation and the email associated with it.
- Messages you send us by email.
- Data collection project submissions: when you contribute to a project such as our Pet Image Collection, we collect the files you upload (for example photographs) and the project information requested (for example breed, year of birth of the pet and country of residence), together with your contact details. Each project page explains what is needed and how the data is used.
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device and pages visited. This is collected by our hosting and infrastructure providers, and, if you accept analytics cookies, by analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy.
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
- To run the ADA program (registration, tests, training, certificates, verification): performance of a contract or steps you request.
- To run data collection projects, review submissions and deliver approved data to the client who commissioned the project: your consent and, where relevant, performance of the agreement with you. You can withdraw consent at any time for future use.
- To communicate with you and answer your questions: legitimate interests and performance of a contract.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and enforce one attempt per test and one certificate per email: legitimate interests.
- Analytics and advertising: your consent, given through our cookie banner.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data for money. We share data only with:
- Service providers (processors) that help us operate: Google (Forms, Drive, Sheets, Apps Script, and, if you consent, Analytics and AdSense), PayPal (payments), GitHub (website hosting) and Cloudflare (domain and DNS services).
- Clients of a data collection project: submissions that pass review may be delivered to the client named in the project description for use in AI and machine learning work. We will say so on the project page before you contribute.
- Authorities or advisers when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
5. International transfers
ADA is based in Egypt and our providers operate in several countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the contractual terms and data protection frameworks offered by our providers.
6. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Program records (such as certificate verification) are kept while the certificate remains valid. Project submissions are kept for the period set out in the project description and the agreement for that project. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 8).
7. Advertising
We plan to show a small number of fixed, clearly labelled advertisements on some pages using Google AdSense. Ads are never shown on our home page, inside test or question forms, or next to payment and download buttons. Google and its partners may use cookies for advertising when you accept them. Learn more in our Cookie Policy.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- data portability (GDPR);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not be discriminated against for using your rights (California).
To use any right, email info@accuratedataannotator.com. We may need to verify your identity first and will reply within the time the applicable law requires. You can also change your cookie choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
If you are in the EU or UK, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Egypt, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Center. We would welcome the chance to resolve your concern first.
9. California notice (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months we may have collected identifiers (name, email, IP address), internet activity, and, for project contributors, files and related information you provide. We use them for the purposes in section 3. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out by choosing "Reject" in the cookie banner or the "Cookie settings" link. We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
10. Children
Our program and data collection projects are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
